Trace And Investigation
We believe that each collector on our staff should have, at their ready disposal, support staff to perform the intricate job of locating debtors. Our skip tracers have over 20 years' experience and have developed their own methods and sources of information "which is catalogued in our working manuals."
Legal Department
Legal action is, of course, the last resort. "There is no sense in throwing good money after bad." All accounts that, in our opinion, require litigation in order to affect collection will not be commenced without signed authorization to do so from your office. Before a request is made to litigate a particular account, you will be in receipt of a detailed report outlining the circumstances leading up to our request, along with an explanation as to our methods of collection after judgment has been secured. In other words, it is not our view to be commencing litigation without first of all establishing a means of collection after judgment has been granted. Upon receipt of your authorization and a statement of the account, we will immediately begin with litigation on your behalf.
Bonding and Licensing
In accordance with Government regulations as set out by Alberta Government Services Registries and Consumer Services Division, the Company has obtained the necessary bond and licensing requirements in order to operate as a collection firm. W.D With & Associates Ltd. are also extra-provincially licensed and bonded in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nunavut and Northwest Territories and are bonded by AXA Pacific Insurance Company through its agents Aon Reed Stenhouse Inc., 2700 Palliser Square, Calgary, Alberta.
Credit Bureau Reporting
All accounts placed with our firm for collection are reported to Equifax Canada as outstanding collection accounts. Once the account is coded either "Settled in Full" or "Paid in Full," it will be reflected on the debtor's credit bureau. As long as the account remains unpaid, it will continue to appear on the debtor's credit bureau.
